Ethel K. Niebauer's Obituary
Ethel K. Niebauer, age 94, of China Twp., passed away March 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 15, 1921 in St. Clair. On October 11, 1941 she married Stanley Niebauer in St. Clair. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2001.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. She was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the funeral luncheon committee.
She is survived by her children; Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Zoeplitz, Marilyn Spranger, Donna (Dennis) Robbins all of China Twp. and Robert (Charlene) Niebauer of Elmira, MI. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; Ann Marie (Charles) Burt, Michael (Angie) Zoeplitz, James ( Debbie) Zoeplitz, Robert (Patti) Whitehead, Tracy (Richard) Recor, Brian Whitehead (Paul Burnham), Diane (Bill) Schunk, Dawn Lohr, Darlene (Ron) Mason, Herbert (Lena) Niebauer, Jr. and family, Angela (Gordon) Marsh, Ryan Niebauer, and Jason Niebauer. Great-grandchildren; Heather & Zachary Burt, Kimberly, Kelly, Katelyn Zoeplitz, Kyle & Kevin Zoeplitz, Marie, Emily, and David Whitehead, Richard III, Lucas, and Olivia Recor, Allison & William Schunk, Delaney, Caiden, Brennan, and Cameron Lohr, Ronald & Ryleigh Mason, and Angelise, Jamie, and Kya Marsh. daughter in-law; Karen Niebauer.
She was preceded in death by her son; Herbert Niebauer, Sr., granddaughter; Bobbi Jo Niebauer, son in-law; David Whitehead, brothers; Ambrose, Raymond, Edmund, Ervin, Harvey, and Alvin Westrick, sisters; Ella Zimmer and Mildred Niebauer.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Saturday at church one hour prior to mass. A rosary will be said Friday at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair. Serving as pallbearers are Michael and James Zoeplitz, Charles Burt, Robert and Brian Whitehead, Richard Recor, Bill Schunk, and Ron Mason.
Memorial may be made to St. Vicent DePaul or Kids in Distress.
