Esther Agnella Brown's Obituary
Esther Agnella Brown, age 84, of East China, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born on July 20, 1939, in New Haven, MN. Esther was the light in the room no matter what, whether the was sun shining or on a cloudy day. The definition of a heart of Gold. She loved watching birds, gardening, enjoying time with family and enjoying a nice scotch and water while she watched the freighters go by. To her family she was always the glue that held things together. She was active in the community as a member of the Algonac Athena Club and a member of various car clubs with her husband Sid. She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Russ) Witherspoon and Mollie (Brian) Beaver; seven grandchildren, Briana (Danny) Jacob, Robert Brown IV, Thomas (Allycia) Witherspoon, Kyle (Laura) Beaver, Chelsea (Isaac) Gilpin, Ally (Danny) Walkowski, and Dana Witherspoon; twelve great grandchildren; and siblings, Frani Dunagan and Margaret Neff. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Sid” Brown II; son, Robert Brown III; daughter-in-law, Vicky Brown. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 18th at 3 p.m. at Young Funeral Home in China Twp. Visiting hours will be prior to service from noon to 3 p.m. that day.
