Mr. Erwin "Erv" LaVigne's Obituary
Erwin L. "Erv" LaVigne, age 89, of China Twp., died April 10, 2012. He was born October 14, 1922 to the late Louis and Ethel LaVigne.
Erv served with the U.S. Army/Air Corp during World War II. He was stationed in Africa, England and France.
He retired from the Ford Tractor Plant and was a lifetime member of the DAV.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Ruth E. LaVigne, children Gary LaVigne and Carol LaVigne, grandchildren; Lisa, Michelle, Theodore, Steven and Andrew, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister; Elverna "Tiny" Liebetreu, brothers in law and sisters in law; Sandy LaVigne, Donald and Charlotte Curtis, Bill and Pat Curtis, Arthur Curtis and Mary Walczak and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son; Allan LaVigne and brothers; Jack and Alvin LaVigne
Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church, St. Clair, the American Lung Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
