Ervin "Erv" Balhoff's Obituary
Ervin "Erv" Balhoff, age 73, of St. Clair, died May 22, 2010 in his home following a battle with cancer. He was born March 26, 1937 in Elk Township, Michigan to the late Russell and Neva Balhoff. On June 29, 1957 Ervin Balhoff married Iliene Garlick in Memphis, Michigan.
Erv worked and managed several area grocery stores for 50 years. The last eight years he worked at the St. Clair River Country Club as their Master Gardener. He was a member of the Blue Water Free Methodist Church and the St. Clair Beautification Committee.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Iliene Balhoff, children; Ron (Patti) Balhoff and Russ (Kathy) Balhoff, six grandchildren; Sarah (Larry) Wawrzyniak, Katie (Ryan) Allen, Alex Balhoff, Jessica (Jeff) McDonald, Alyssa Balhoff, and Heidi Balhoff.
Six great grandchildren; Jason, Larry, Jackson, Autumn, Andrew, and Bryce, five sisters and two brothers. He was predeceased by two infant grandchildren and his parents.
