Ernest "Ernie" Brooks' Obituary
Ernest "Ernie" Brooks, age 65, of Marine City, died January 7, 2013. He was born August 11, 1947. He married Joan Kunath on November 23, 1983 in St. Clair Shores. He retired as a millwright from Chrysler. After retirement he pursued a career in real estate. He enjoyed riding ATV's, hunting and golfing. He enjoyed the time spent with his family and grandchildren most of all.
He is survived by his wife; Joan Brooks, sons; Giles (Janine) Brooks, Derek (Jenny) Vandekerckhove, Matt (Kristin) Brooks. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, best friend and brother in law; Jim Kunath, and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son; Ernest Brooks. Cremation has taken place and private services have been held.
