I’ll always remember the fun we had camping and trail riding, and of course just being neighbors.
Stay safe Don, hoping we can meet up soon.

My deepest sympathies to you, Don and family. She was a beautiful soul💝
Don I am so sorry for your loss. We had so many good times together years ago. Sorry we lost touch. Jonni always had a way to make me laugh and feel comfortable. Remember the good times! My deepest sympathies. Love You!
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for having Elvira in my life. I first met her when she was about five years old and I was nineteen. As time went by we became very close, not only as cousins by marriage but also as good friends later when we were both married. She was always so good with my children and always willing to help with anything. We did so many fun things together. It is nice to remember all the good times. I will miss her terribly.
Good Bye Elvira, until we meet again.
Love Sandy Bessel
When I was 15 my brother Paul and I stayed with Don and Elvira for about 3 or 4 months while our house was being built. We moved from the city and they taught us about living out in the country on acreage with horses. Don and Elvira were quite young themselves and didn’t quite know what to make of having two teenage boys live with them. We had the greatest times ever. Elvira was constantly playing referee between Don and Paul and I making sure we were getting equal portions of her awesome cooking or making sure the chores were divided evenly amongst us. She had absolutely no problems mixing it up with the boys and putting us in our place. She was feisty and had a unrelenting sense of humor. Add that to a heart of gold and that was Elvira. One day she said “Come on “Jimmy”, I’m going to take you out to practice driving.” Her and Paul and I jumped in her Volkswagen. I was driving in town and when I rounded a corner I heard someone beeping their horn... I looked around and said, “Who’s beeping at me?? What’s going on?” Elvira starts laughing and says, you jackass that was you beeping at yourself!” I had hit the horn while turning the wheel. She never let me hear the end of that and brought that story up many times. I have so many fond memories of Elvira. I will miss her very much. Anyone that was lucky enough to have known her knows exactly what I’m talking about. She was a great person and I am saddened by her passing away. I will remember her just as she was back in those days... Always on the go, ready for a laugh and there when you need her the most. RIP Elvira! Love Jimmy
