Mrs Elizabeth "Liz" Duchene's Obituary
Elizabeth “Liz” Duchene, age 73, of China Twp., died January 11, 2014. She was born May 22, 1940 in Detroit to the late Harold and Effie Bucholz. Liz married David Duchene September 8, 1975.
She previously owned and operated Flowers by Elizabeth in Marine City. Liz loved the game of golf, flowers and all warm outdoor activities.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years David Duchene, sons, Scott Ceyzyk and Chris Ceyzyk. She is the loving Mema of Sydney Ceyzyk, whom she enjoyed cooking, doing crafts and sharing girl secrets with. They also enjoyed their time shared together in their rocking chair. Liz is also survived by her closest friend Cathy Moody, the one she always called “The daughter she never had.” Her brother Michael (Betty) Bucholz also survives her.
She was preceded in death by a brother Howard Bucholz.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday , January 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 - 11 a.m. prior to service.
