Elizabeth "Betty" Smith McCauley's Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Smith McCauley, age 95, of Marine City, passed away Friday September 13, 2019. She was born June 20, 1924 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Robert and Ada Powrie.
She is the beloved mother of Nancy Lawlor and step mother to Wendy, Shirlene, Tom and Marilyn. Grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 7 and great great grandmother of 1. She was predeceased by husbands, Jesse T. Smith and Jack McCauley. Betty was a longtime member of Bethany Church of God, Sterling Heights, and was a true testament to God’s love. She was the sweetest lady you’d ever want to meet. There was no such thing as a stranger to Betty. She truly lived her religion her whole life. Rest in peace Miss Betty, you will be missed.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
