Eleanor Emig's Obituary
Eleanor Emig, age 91, of St. Clair, died April 14, 2011. She was born December 18, 1919 to the late Herman and Annie Guldenstein on Meisner Rd. in China Twp.
Eleanor married Gordon Emig on March 13, 1938 in Marine City. One of Eleanor's fondest memories was going to church with her husband Gordon and singing those wonderful hymns together with all the members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Peters.
Eleanor is survived by her sister and brother in law; Hazel and Gerald LaCanne, dear friends; Shirley and Dick Biewer, Donna and Roman Mechurick, and Doris Earl, and many loving nieces and nephews. Eleanor was especially thankful to Juanita and Michael Schonemann and family for the special care given to her over the past 11 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon Emig on August 30, 2000 and her loving son Richard Emig on May 6, 1960. Brothers; Melvin and Raymond Guldenstein and sister Maxine Daniels.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday April 18th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
