Eldon "Smitty" Smith's Obituary
Eldon "Smitty" Smith, age 74, of St. Clair Twp., died October 5, 2010.
He was born December 2, 1935 in Kimball Twp., to the late Charles and Elizabeth Smith.
Eldon served with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957.
On April 12, 1958 he married Joan Zimmer in St. Clair.
He was employed with the Diamond Crystal Salt Co. for 31 years.
Smitty was a member of the Pine River Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Joan Smith.
Children; Karen, Carl (Christina) Smith, and Laura.
Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild, brothers; Dave (Judy) Smith, and Wilbert (Diane) Smith, and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
