Elberna "Bernie" Brenner's Obituary
Elberna “Bernie” Brenner, age 94, of Marine City passed away peacefully on September 19, 2009. She was born October 31, 1914 in St. Clair to the late Thomas and Carrie Armstrong.
Mrs. Brenner was a devoted mother and grandmother for her entire life. She was an avid quilter who always made sure her grandchildren had one of “Grandma’s Quilts”. The family would like extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Medilodge of St. Clair and St. John’s River District Hospital for the exceptional care that was given to Elberna.
Mrs. Brenner is survived her son; John Ervin (Gale) Brenner. She is the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived be her brother, Hurd Armstrong and special friend, Suzie Koch.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Ervin and daughter, Carolyn.
Funeral services will be held Monday at Immanuel Luther Church, St. Clair at 11am. The family will receive visitors at the church prior to the service from 9-11am. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or The Blue Water Warriors. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
