I could write a book about our fondest memories of Elaine and Jim and of the many other wonderful people we know in St. Clair. Georgene and I cherished the numerous times we got together with Jim and Elaine and our MEPWAY group. Each of our memories could be considered as a favorite. Our many trips together, the Greyhound Bus trip to the Northville Racetrack when Jim demonstrated his love of pina coladas, Super Bowl and fried smelt parties in the spring and the summer reunions at our cottage are all very dear memories to me. Unfortunately Georgene no longer has them due to her ongoing battle with Alzheimer's. She has been living in an assisted living home for over 3 years. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are offered up for Elaine and Jim's family. My recollection of them reveals an obvious example of the great parents they were blessed to have. I wish I could attend the funeral Mass, but I will pray the Rosary here along with the rest of you. Joel Gorzen
