Mrs. Elaine R. Brettin's Obituary
Elaine Ruth Brettin, age 83, of Marine City, went home to be with Our Lord January 23, 2013 after a short illness. She was born July 7, 1929 in Gobles, Canada to Norman and Edna Turnbull. After the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and step father Otto Labuhn in Marine City.
Her husband, Paul Brettin, preceded her in death in 1984.
Elaine is survived by her children; Charles Brettin, Richard (Erica) Brettin, Robert (Julie) Brettin, Penny (Alan) Sowerby and Carol (Peter) Gernand and one sister Dorothy Frank. She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday January 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Sunday January 27th 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mid-City Nutrition (Soup Kitchen) in Port Huron.
