Edward Wojtysiak Jr.'s Obituary
Edward Wojtysiak Jr., 70, of Emmett, passed away after a brave battle with cancer on Thursday, September 6, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 2, 1948 to the late Edward Sr. and Veronica Wojtysiak (Cesarz).
Ed married Donna Draves on February 24, 1979 and was a devoted husband. He was a tool and die maker for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He served his country in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Ed served on the Emmett Twp. Board of Reviews and he was a big supporter of the Salvation Army, YMCA, the United Way, and St. Clair County 4-H and Youth Fair.
Ed enjoyed golf, travel, crossword puzzles at the barber shop, helping family and friends and their farm.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna, of 39 years; Nephew, Jordan Draves, for whom he was a guardian and buddy, sister, Carol Konkel, sister-in-law, Carol (Greg) Diachenko, Barb Czarnecki (Richard Lutz) Debbie (Brian) Shinavier, Diane (Glenn) Schmincke, brother-in-law, Ken (Larisa) Draves, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Naugle and brother-in- law, Bill Draves.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 12:00 p.m. at Capac United Methodist Church, 14952 Imlay City Road. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, September 11th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. as well as 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or wishes of the family.
