Edward J. Szymanski's Obituary
Edward J. Szymanski, age 71, of China Twp., died May 14, 2017. He was born to the late Edward E. and Edna Szymanski in Wayne on November 22, 1945. On July 31, 1970 he married Carolyn Derwich.
He was raised in Redford Twp. and the attended Henry Ford Community College and earned his Bachelor Degree in science. After an extensive internship he became a prototype model maker which lead him to owning his own company.
In retirement he enjoyed woodworking, collecting and designing model train displays. Mostly he enjoyed helping others and working with his wife in her art business.
He is survived by his wife; Carolyn Szymanski. He is also survived by his brother in-law and friend; Michael Carr. He will be missed by nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his sister; Linda Carr.
A service will held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service.
