Edna Mae Martin "Pug"'s Obituary
Edna Mae Martin “Pug”, age 76 of Clay Twp., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 22, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1945 to the late George and Edna Williams. Pug married Patrick Martin on November 25, 1966. She was a longtime member of Algonac VFW as well as the Fair Haven Eagles. Pug was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend. She always put others needs before her own. Her dedication to help people was second to none, whether it was helping her friends, foster children, or family, she cared for everyone. Pug loved the holidays, she enjoyed baking pies, cookies, and bread for her family to eat. Family was everything to her, she truly cherished the time she spent with her husband, kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Patrick Martin; children, Patrick Jr. (Jill) Martin, Renee Lawson, Rhonda (Bill) Gouine, Eddie Martin; grandchildren, Julia (Dan), Monica (Alex), Ryan, Rachel (Nathan), Desirae (Chris), Billy, Sage; great grandchildren, Daniel, Lincoln, Annamarie, Eli, Victoria; brothers, Harry (Debbie) Williams, Mike (Sherry) Williams, as well as several special nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Nelson Carr; siblings, George Williams Jr., Ron Williams, Minnie Paull, and Darlene Wolfe
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September, 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Clay Twp.
