Edith Kay Marsh's Obituary
Edith Kay Marsh, age 80, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 16, 2023. She was born in Masontown, West Virginia on March 19, 1943 to the late George and Nora McGinnis. Kay was a graduate of Masontown High School, class of 1961. Following high school, she went on to journalism school in the Navy. It was there she met her future husband, Al. Kay and Al were married December 28, 1961 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Rochester. She was a long time, active member of Eastern Star Cornell Marysville #93. She was a member for over 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Alton “Al” Marsh; children, Christina (George) Melcher, David (Colleen) Marsh; grandchildren, Fen and Adam Melcher, Kyle, Kelsey, Connor, Caitlyn Marsh; sister, Ellen “Gail” McGinnis; cousins, Thomas and Kim James, as well as several special family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Edward McGinnis; and beloved uncle, Henry Stone.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 22nd at 12:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Christian Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.
