Mrs. Edith M. Hoyer's Obituary
Edith M. Hoyer, age 85, of Marine City, died April 15, 2014. Edith was born February 26, 1929 in Detroit to the late Maylen and Grace Warner. On December 31, 1951 Edith married George Hoyer in Highland Park.
Edith was a charter member and Past President of the River District Auxiliary. She was a Life Member of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron of Emily Ward Chapter #205 and current member of Cornell Marysville #93. Edith was also a lifetime member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Marine City. She had written articles for the Independent Press and the Auxiliary Newsletter for many years.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, George Hoyer, children, Georgia Hoyer and Robert (Bonnie) Hoyer, grandson, William Laidlaw, great grandchildren, William John Laidlaw and Brookelynn Emerson, sister, Jane (Buddy) Poole Blaylock and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce McCallister and brother, M. Robert Warner Jr.
