Earl Roy McCartney Jr.'s Obituary
Earl Roy McCartney Jr., age 63, of St. Clair, passed away June 13, 2026, at home surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in St. Clair on October 9, 1962, to the late Earl and Patricia McCartney.
Earl cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, taking pride in a freshly cut lawn, dancing on the pontoon and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Emily McCartney; his daughters, Amber (Matthew) Pollard and Hailey (Michael) Sommers; and his grandchildren, Connor Lumley, Hayden Pollard, Owen Pollard, and Luke Sommers.
He is also survived by his siblings: Steve (Connie) McCartney, Tom (Nereide) McCartney, Dan (Stephanie) McCartney, Mike (DeAnn) McCartney, and Annie McCartney-Cooper, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Harper Sommers; his sister, Janet McCartney; and his niece/ God-daughter, Ashley Cooper-Brenner.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home in China Township. Visitation days will be on Tuesday, June16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 17th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
