Duane Patrick Johnson's Obituary
Duane Patrick Johnson, age 54, of China Twp., passed away peacefully at home with his family and friends gathered around him on November 17, 2017. He was born October 30, 1963, in Detroit to Duane and Connie Johnson.
On September 15, 1990 Duane married Lynn Pieprzak in China Twp. Duane was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish with his special friends, Mike Mackley and John Graber. Duane was a jack of all trades and master of all of them. In 1976, at age 13, he started working for Pieprzak Well Drilling until 1999. From 1999 to present he worked at the Belle River Power Plant, where he loved both his job and his work family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Lynn Johnson. Loving daughters, whom he adored, Erin (Charlie) Raymond, Kristin (John) Warwick and Nicole (Elliott) Spaulding and his cherished grandchildren, Sawyer and Sydney Warwick, Cain and Cullen Raymond and Owen Spaulding. He is also survived by his mother, Connie. Predeceased by a brother, Michael Johnson (Danon). Survived by siblings; Sue (Mike) Garrity, Marty Johnson, Patricia Johnson and Gail Hammontree and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his father Duane “Grouch” Johnson.
Funeral services will held Monday November 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Balfour Cemetery, China Twp. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
