Dovis Catherine Lloyd's Obituary
Dovis Catherine Lloyd, age 90, of Marine City, formerly of Detroit, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024. She was born February 9, 1934, to the late Jack and Rhea Savage. She married Gerald (Jerry) Lloyd on February 6, 1954, who preceded her in death on October 1, 2022. Dovis worked for DTE for over 30 years. Dovis was an avid traveler. She and Jerry enjoyed taking trips out west. Dovis was the founder of the traveling friends’ group in the Marine City Area. She volunteered at the Maritime Museum in Algonac. Dovis was also a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kay Hrabec; dear friends, Kari (Thomas) Destefano, Anita (Lee) Murray, Debra (Michael) Kraft.
A funeral mass will take place Monday, September 23rd at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. There will be one hour of visiting from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to mass. Interment at Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
