Douglas Arthur Menkel's Obituary
Douglas Arthur Menkel, age 53, of Port Huron, passed away June 18, 2025, at home with family following a short courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 24, 1971 in St. Clair. Doug was the beloved Papa of three grandchildren, Avelynn, Timothy and Vivianne.
Doug loved his career as a truck driver and enjoyed driving across the country. He had a love of baking, cooking and being outdoors. Doug had a beautiful soul and was quick to crack a joke. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Susan Menkel; daughter, Alaura Horner; siblings, Mark Menkel and Kristine Morris; niece and nephew, Samantha and Brendan Morris; godparents, Dennis Fordt and Nancy Zielinski and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Menkel.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, June 28th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
