Dorothy M. Burns' Obituary
Dorothy M. Burns, age 85, of Marine City, died May 6, 2010. She was born August 31, 1924 in Casco Twp. to Harry and Mildred Schulz.
On October 27, 1945 Dorothy married Robert Burns. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #796, Marine City.
She is survived by her daughters; Barbara Watson (Russ), Billie-Lee (Patrick) Cates, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Sister; Lois Barnes and brother; Gary Zimmerman, close friends, Char Burns, Paula Hook, Dave Ingles, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Harry Schulz, mother and step father; Mildred and Richard Zimmerman, son Richard Burns, grandson; Michael Burns, sister; Jean Gallagher, brother; Robert Schulz.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10am at Young Funeral Home with Deacon Ken Nowicki officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 6-9pm. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
