Dorothy Zimmer's Obituary
Dorothy I. Zimmer, age 85, of St. Clair, died August 30, 2010. She was born August 25, 1925 in St. Clair to the late Arthur and Olive Delor.
On January 24, 1945 Dorothy married Herbert Zimmer in St. Clair. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Dorothy retired from Champion Industries. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary Post 382, St. Clair.
She is survived by her children; Ned (Vicki) Zimmer and Mary Lou (Donn) Bacon.
Grandchildren; Kristi (Jeremiah) Forsythe, Michael Zimmer, Donn (Renee) Bacon, Marni (Matthew) Hickey, great grandchildren; Alyssa, Clayton, Mya, Clair, Dustin, and Joselyn and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers; Arthur and Francis Delor and sisters; Hazel Boucher and Phyllis Zimmer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday Sept. 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Fr. Greg Deters will officiate. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Wednesday Sept. 1, 2010 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday at the church prior to mass from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.
A rosary will be receited Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Visiting Nurse Assoc. or the American Legion St. Clair Post #382, or the wishes of the family.
