Dorothy Louise Stricker's Obituary
Dorothy L. Stricker, age 89, of St. Clair, formerly of Richmond passed away May 30, 2013. She was born July 2, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA. She married Reuben Stricker on June 10, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1967. She worked at Federal Land Bank in Richmond for many years. She volunteered as a pink lady at River District Hospital and also volunteered with the March of Dimes. She taught sewing and dress making with 4-H as well. She was a member of St. John's Untied Church of Christ, Marine City.
She is survived by her son; Tom (Jacquelyn) Stricker, daughter; Deb (John) Sommerville, grandchildren; John Stricker, Jillian (Jim) Manchik, great-granddaughter; Olivia Manchik. She is also survived by her siblings; John "Jack" Edwards, Franklin (Jeanne) Edwards, and Nancy Williams. She is preceded in death by brother; Thomas Edwards.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, Marine City. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St.John's United Church of Christ. www.youngcolonial.com
