Dorothy (Marker) Fields' Obituary
Dorothy (Marker) Fields, age 94, of Casco Twp., died June 16, 2015. She was born December 1, 1920 in Richmond to the late Fred and Clara Marker. Dorothy attended Richmond Schools and later obtained a nursing degree from St. Clair County Community College. She is a member of St. Matthews UCC, Adair and enjoyed traveling, music and playing cards.
She is survived by her twin sister, Doris A. Cole, nieces and nephews; James and Leslie Marker, Tom Marker, Jan and Gary Stockton, Fran Klabius, Gary and Joanne Marker, David and Judy Marker, Vern and Sharon Bickley, Dale and Donna Bickley, Bob and Nancy Bickley and many great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Akins, niece, Cheryl Bradley, brothers, Harcil and Fred Marker, foster sisters, Delphine Thueme and June Zimmer and foster brother, Harry Bickley.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday June 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service. Memorials are suggested to St. Matthews UCC.
