Dorothy A. Endres, age 92, of China Twp., died April 26, 2012.
She was born February 19, 1920 to the late William and Alice (Lindow) Osterland.
On November 4, 1944 Dorothy Osterland married Richard P. Endres in Marine City. Mr. Endres preceded her in death in 2004.
Dorothy spent her professional career working at River District Hospital. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Church.
She is the loving mother of Richard W. Endrres. Devoted sister of; Ruth Fessenden, Gerald Osterland, Wilfred (Jeanette) Osterland, Leslie (Barbara) Osterland, William (Lynette) Osterland, Bernard (Tracy) Osterland and Donald Osterland, sister in law of Justine Osterland and Margie Osterland and caring aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers; Elmer Osterland, Melvin Osterland and Edmund (Joan) Osterland, brother in law; Hugh Fessenden and sisters in law; Callie Osterland, Frances Osterland and Joann Osterland.
Dorothy was a fantastic mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Church Marine City. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 11:00 a.m. prior to mass at the church. A scripture service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m.
