Donald Russell Whittaker's Obituary
Donald Russell Whittaker, age 66, of St. Clair, passed away in his home on August 25, 2015. He was born on May 31, 1949. He graduated from St.Clair High School and married the love of his life, Ann Freeland on September 9, 1967.
Don retired from the Detroit Edison after 38 years of dedicated service. He loved to hunt and fish. His favorite place to be at were his boat house and garage. Don also loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years; Ann Whittaker, his sons; Russell Whittaker, Scott (Nikki) Whittaker, and Donald (Jen) Whittaker.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Lucas, Whitney, Donald, and Devon, his brother; David (Mary) Whittaker, sister; Lisa (Jack) Horn, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Russell and Joyce Whittaker and sister; Vickie Mead.
A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends of Don on June 12th at Columbia Banquet & Conference Center (K of C Hall) 3501 Rattle Run Rd. St. Clair. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Service will start at 12:00 p.m. with dinner to follow. Memorials are suggested to wishes of the family.
