Mr. Donald H. Volkman's Obituary
Donald H. Volkman, age 77, of Casco Twp., died August 26, 2015. He was born August 24, 1938 in St. Clair to the late John and Lucille Volkman. . On April 21, 1963 Don married Peggy Smith.
Don honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. He was also a member of the Laborers Union Local #1191.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Peggy Volkman, children; Tammy Dietlin, Donald J. Volkman (Sandy Babisz) and William H. (Billie Lynn) Volkman, grandchildren; Andrea Nugent, Mark Recor, Melissa Malcolm, Cory Hopp, Ashley and Brooke Volkman, great grandchildren; Zachary Clapp, Payton Recor and Wil Malcolm, brothers; Ken (Kathy) Volkman and Dave (Pam) Volkman, sister in law, Lou Anne Volkman and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Recor and brothers; Charlie and Jack Volkman.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 31st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to service.
