Donald Lee Vickers' Obituary
Donald Lee Vickers, age 71, of East China Twp., passed away August 6, 2020. He was born January 9, 1949 in Mt. Clemens to the late Lee and Margaret Vickers. On September 21, 1990 Donald married Donna Burmann.
Donald honorably and courageously served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a drywall finisher for 40 years. When not working he enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and fishing and he cherished his time shared with his family. Donald was also a member of the Southeastern Michigan Conservation Club.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Donna Vickers; children, Donald (Heather) Vickers, Nikki (Chastin) Clemons and Maribeth (Joey) Copenhagen; grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, Lexi, Brayden, Bella, Milli, Gretta and Stella.
A memorial will be Thursday, August 13th at 1pm at the Southeastern Michigan Conservation Club on Belle River Road. Luncheon will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the S.E. Michigan Conservation Club.
