Donald R. Small's Obituary
Donald R. Small, age 67, of Kimball Twp., passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025. He was born on September 23, 1957 to the late Fred and Zilpha Small. Don was a graduate of Marysville High School. He married, Debbie Neiman on September 10, 1983. Don grew up and worked on his family farm. That was something he proudly did all of his life. Don began working on the farm with his father, which eventually turned into him farming with his children. Working with his family was the reason that Don continued to farm until his retirement in 2020. Throughout those years, Don also worked various other jobs. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed going on walks. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband who was a proud provider for his family, teaching them great work ethic and dedication. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughters, Melissa Small, Laura (Christian Vespa) Small; grandchildren, Anastasia, Donald (D.J.), Ruby Sullivan; siblings, Barbara Taylor, Steven (Sharon) Small, Joanne Small, Raymond (Mary) Small, Mary (Ed) Vazquez, Helen Lump, Robert (Carlene) Small, Kathy (Clare) Hascall, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, James Small.
A funeral service will take place Thursday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hour will be on Wednesday, January 22nd from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As well as one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
