Donald Roy Goff's Obituary
Donald Roy Goff, age 78, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully, after being surrounded by his family on October, 12, 2024. He was born on February 19, 1946 in Detroit to the late Arthur and Mary “Queenie” Goff. Don owned and operated Classic Plastering and Drywall in St. Clair for over 30 years. He met Sally Burnett and the two have enjoyed over 35 years together. In his younger years, Don enjoyed golfing. That passion for sports never left, as he continued to be and avid Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. Most of all, Don cherished the time he spent with his family. Especially attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. His sense of humor, and fun-loving personality will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his children, Michael and Shannon; siblings, Arthur Goff, James (Jonell) Goff, Dennis Goff, Jackie (Cass) Wojnowski; in-laws, Nancy and Gerri Goff; significant other, Sally Burnett; step children, Roger (Melisa) Burnett, James J. (Stacey Carnahan) Burnett; grandchildren, Buck (Lauren) Neal, Dylan (Kate) Neal, Ryan Burnett, Paige Burnett, James M. Burnett, Meadow Schulz; great granddaughter, Jade Neal, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley (Fred) Jackson, Edmund Goff, Baby Jackie, Ricky Goff; in-laws, Marilyn and Pinky Goff.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, October 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Sunday, October 20th from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday. Memorials are suggested to FUNDALIFE at www.fundalife.org.
