Donald "Don" Beaudua's Obituary
Donald “Don” Beaudua of East China Township passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at home with his family by his side. He was born in Detroit on February 5, 1946, to Henry Beaudua and Christine Reichle Beaudua.
Don graduated from Roseville High School in 1963.
Don married Cindy Burns on June 10, 1978, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Marine City. They were introduced and set up on a blind date by Mary Lowe and Nora Herzer Condland.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, His son and daughter-in-law Brian and Sarah, and his grandsons (who he loved so much) Logan and Luke. He is also survived by his sister Ellen Jarboe, His brother and sister-in-law Ken and Julie Beaudua. His brother-in-law and sister-in-law R. Daniel and Patricia Burns. His in laws Terry and Pam Beier, Brian and Tina Burns and Susan Valiquett. Don also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also, special friends Herk and Diane Stubbs and Debbie Callahan and family and his hunting buddies for many years- Jerry and Bob Vogel and Lyle Thueme. He was preceded in death by his son Joel, his parents, his mother-in-law, Rachel Burns and father-in-law Richard Burns, his brother Robert, brother-in-law Don Jarboe, nephew Dennis Jarboe and nephew John Beaudua. Also, his in-law Thomas Valiquett.
Don worked for General Motors Powertrain for 34 years, retiring in 2001.
He was a long-time board member of the East China Township Board, serving as Trustee and Treasurer. He served on the East China Township Historical Commission working on the Commission to convert the Red Brick School to the Museum it is today. He served on the Marine City and St. Clair Fire Authority Boards and was a current member of the St. Clair River Sewer and Water Authority.
Don was a Reserve Police officer for the city of Marine City in the 70’s and early 80’s.
He also worked on the St. Clair County Marine Patrol for 14 years.
Don was proud to be a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
His family would like to thank Tom Miller for the many years that he spent making Don’s life a little easier and for the great care that he gave him.

Also thank you to the Marine City Fire Department and Tri-Hospital EMS for their care and concern and Ascension River District Hospital and Dr. Benjamin Smith for the wonderful care that they provided. Also thank you to the ladies from Compassus Hospice who were not only wonderful to him but to the rest of us also.
Arrangements are entrusted to Young Funeral Home in East China. Visiting will be Sunday December 4, 2022, from 4 until 8. There will also be visiting from 10 to 11 on Monday December 5, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the funeral following at 11:00. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in East China.
