Donald F. Barthauer's Obituary
Donald Frederick Barthauer, born April 8, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on March 14, 2026, in St. Clair, Michigan.
Donald lived a long and full life and was known for his strong opinions and spirited personality, traits that those who knew him will remember. He was a man of conviction, strength, and devotion to his family and friends.
Don was a retired toolmaker from Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work and craftsmanship. He took great pride in his trade and in the work he accomplished throughout his career. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, creating pieces that reflected his skill, patience, and attention to detail.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Gail Barthauer, and his children, Keith Barthauer and Theresa Barthauer, along with grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Paulson.
Visitation will be held at Young Funeral Home, 4061 St. Clair Highway, China Township, Michigan, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Donald will be cremated following visitation.
