Dianne Mary Wilkins' Obituary
Dianne Mary Wilkins Nee Zobl, age 90, of St. Clair passed away peacefully June 14, 2024. She was born June 1, 1934 in Ferndale, MI to the late Muir and Bray Zobl. Dianne married Hollis A. Wilkins on May 27, 1959 in Utica and enjoyed 57 years of marriage until his passing on December 28, 2016.
Dianne lived everyday by her motto “Give of yourself and that will bring you true happiness”. She lived everyday to the fullest and loved dealing with people. Dianne graduated from St. Benedicts school in Detroit. After graduating she went to work for Michigan Bell as a training supervisor, before starting a family and raising three children as a stay-at-home mom to the max. She loved to travel, spend time with her family and many friends. When her children were grown up Dianne went to work at Silks Flower Shop, Dicks Meat Market, and at Postal Sack and Balloonery Delivery, Her last job was working at Neiman’s Family Market in St. Clair where she worked till, she was 85.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (Diane) Wilkins, Pamela (Edward) Westrick Jr., David (Michelle) Wilkins; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Sam Nardicchio along with several nieces and nephews.
Dianne is preceded in death by her sisters, Muriel, Doreen, Karen and Michelle.
A memorial service will be held on Monday June 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the Leader Dogs for the Blind or the Salvation Army. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
