Dianne Vorhoff's Obituary
Dianne Vorhoff, age 77, of Lenox Twp. passed away unexpectedly in her home on October 19, 2020. She was born August 7, 1943 in Detroit to the late Harvey and Elizabeth Butske.
She was a proud employee of Farmer Jack retiring in 2007 after 36 years of employment. Dianne loved growing tomatoes along with her flowers and tending to her vibrant green lawn. When she wasn’t outside tending to her lawn and gardens, she was cheering on her Detroit Tigers. Dianne also enjoyed watching QVC and sending hallmark cards for every holiday during the year. She will be forever known for her butter cookies. Dianne loved being grandma to all her grandchildren and spending time with her whole family. Most Friday nights though she would be found having sleep overs with her oldest great grandson Theodore and made sure that Theo’s belly was always full of cottage cheese, cheese and fruit. Dianne was one of the most selfless, genuine and compassionate people anyone could meet. She always loved cooking for her family and spending time with her “Adopted” granddaughter Lindsey, her favorite shopping buddy.
She is survived by her sons; Billy (Elizabeth) Vorhoff IV, Kenny Vorhoff; grandchildren, Billy (Lindsey Sawyer) Vorhoff V, Spenser Vorhoff, Peyton Vorhoff; great grandchildren, Theodore and Alexander Vorhoff; brothers Larry (Dottie) Butske, Gary (Rose) Butske; sister, Sandie (Tom) Gierucki; cherished friends, Fran and Celeste; ex-husband and close friend Bill Sr. along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
Dianne is preceded in death by her brother Carl Butske
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday November 1, 2020 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Due to the health of her son please abide to COVID-19 protocol, 6ft distance and masks required.
In lieu of flowers the family would encourage memorials be made to Wounded Warriors, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the National Law Officers Memorial. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
