Diane Elizabeth Porrett's Obituary
Diane Elizabeth Porrett, age 78, of Richmond, passed away February 26, 2022 with her loving family at her side. Diane was born June 9, 1943 in Almont to the late Tony and Elizabeth Traub.
On August 21, 1965, Diane married Glen Porrett in Allenton, Michigan. Diane was secretary for 27 years at the First United Church of Christ, Richmond. As an active member she also assisted with many church events and activities. Diane enjoyed serving the Richmond area as an Avon Lady for over 30 years, starting in 1981. She was an avid reader who also loved gardening, knitting, crocheting and camping with family and friends. Most of all she loved being a grandmother, attending as many of their sporting events she could.
Diane is survived by her husband of 56 years, Glen Porrett; daughters, Jennifer (Lantz) Northam and Justine Achatz; grandchildren, Shane, Logan, Jacob, Carissa, Paul and Alyson; brother, Thomas Traub and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Walker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Church of Christ, Richmond. Interment will be in West Berlin Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday March 2nd at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to service.
