Derek Andrew Roberson's Obituary
Derek Roberson of Adair, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the age of 53. He was the beloved husband of Linda and the proud father of Keenan, Sebastyan, Yasmeen, and Valentyna, who were his greatest joy and purpose in life.
Born to Jane Helen Grady (Thomas P Grady) and the late Edward Roberson, Derek grew up surrounded by a close-knit family. He shared a lifelong bond with his siblings, Doug and Jane, and now joins his sister Julie Wheeler and father, in eternal rest. Also survived by his mother and father in- law Mohamad and Sana Alfakir, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Derek was more than a homeowner and business owner—he was a builder of memories, a protector of those he loved, and a man whose dedication to family knew no bounds. He lived with a generous spirit, a fierce work ethic, and a heart that loved “to a fault.”
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will continue through his family and all who knew him.
The family invites friends and loved ones to remember Derek not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love and light he brought into their lives.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service.
