Dennis John Hall's Obituary
Dennis John Hall, age 71, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 13, 2021. He was born June 10, 1950, to the late William and Frances (Yost) Hall. Dennis married his wife of over 45 years, Margaret Browne, daughter of the late Sidney and Mary Ellen (Crews) Browne, on December 19, 1975, at Holy Cross Church in Marine City. He was a very talented carpenter and woodworker and, for everyone who knew him, if he couldn’t fix it, nobody could.
Over the years, Dennis discovered a passion for the National Parks which he would take road trips to visit. Along the way he took tens of thousands of photographs of the parks and across the country. In fact, he never missed a Vista Point.
After Dennis retired in June of 2020 he and Margaret began full-time travels to visit the National Parks and Monuments. He was an avid coin collector from the time he was a young boy. Dennis enjoyed watching movies and listening to his favorite music artist Eric Clapton; collected rocks from his travels; and, most of all, Dennis enjoyed spending time with and pestering his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Bridget (Vinny) Medrano; son, Jake (Jenny) Hall; sisters, Debbie (Larry) Shaw, Marsha (Jim) Jenkins, Marilynn Fattore, and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Pat.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 19, at 6:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the National Park Foundation or Blue Water Hospice Home. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
