Dennis C. Delor Sr.'s Obituary
Dennis C. Delor Sr., age 70, of Marysville, died May 12, 2017 following a courageous two year battle with cancer. Dennis was born June 19, 1946 to the late Thomas Sr. and June Delor in St. Clair.
On November 17, 1972 he married Jenny Harris in St. Clair. Dennis was an employee of the Detroit Edison for 24 years at their St. Clair Power Plant. He was a very proud father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren will fondly remember him attending all of their sporting events. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jenny Delor. He is the loving father of, Dennis Jr. (Kristen) Delor, Benjamin (Telly) Delor, Penny Guyette (Randy Thompson) and William Delor (fiancé Amber); cherished grandfather of Hannah Delor, Hayley Delor, Hunter Delor, Jakob Delor, Kylie Guyette, Myles Guyette, Mason Delor and Levi Delor; dear brother of, Tom Jr. (Rosie) Delor, Harold (Marlene) Delor, David (Linda) Delor and Joy (Gary) Schmitz. Also surviving many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Kent, Ann Marie, and William Delor and Jill Gehringer.
A Memorial Service will be Friday May 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visitation will be Thursday May 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.A memorial fund has been created thru the Marysville Viking All Sports Booster Club. Any memorial donations will be applied to the purchase and installation of a beautiful new flag pole and flag to be displayed at the high school softball/baseball fields. Even in his last weeks, Dad was able to attend a softball and baseball game to watch his grandkids play. In his words, "I wish they had a nice big flag pole & flag here at the fields."
