Dennis James "Cooter" Campbell's Obituary
Dennis James “Cooter” Campbell, age 74, of St. Clair went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2021. He was born on January 8, 1947 to the late Ray and Wave Campbell. He passed peacefully in his home with his loving wife and children by his side.
Den will always be remembered for his love of tractors, hats, jeans and flannels, while relaxing in his blue chair looking out at his farm. Denny was a bull of a man with a loving heart to his friends and family. He was a proud marine who held Semper Fi close to his heart. He retired at age 55 from his career as a supervisor at Consumers Power Co.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kris; 7 children, April (Bunt) Simons, Matt (Christine), Melanie (Chris) Mollan, Collin (Nichole Prize), Lindsay (Jon) Chopp, Alex, Nick (Kayla Lee). He was Papa Den to 9 beautiful grandchildren, Claire, Cole, Aiden, Mason, Kendall, Madilyn, Max, Demi and Duke; brother, Keith (Pat) Campbell; sister, Gail (Frank) Veros and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Dennis is predeceased by his brother, Ray Campbell.
Funeral service will be held Monday October 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. followed by Military Honors. Visiting hours are Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
