Mrs. Deloris L. Fraser's Obituary
Deloris L. Fraser, age 90, of Avoca, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on April 21, 2014. She was born February 21, 1924 in Port Huron to the late Martin and Mable Jackson. Mrs. Fraser graduated from Port Huron High School in 1942. She married James “Red” Fraser on October 21, 1950.
Mrs. Fraser worked as lunch lady at the St. Clair Jr. High School for over 10 years and Huron Plastics for over 30 years. She loved riding show horses and was proud of her world Champion Appaloosa. Deloris and her husband were founding members of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Posse. She was also a 4-H leader for over 10 years.
Mrs. Fraser is survived by her husband of 63 years James “Red” Fraser, children; James R. Adams, Darlene Adams and Deborah (Terry) Voyce, five grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, brothers, Charles (Betty), Martin (Sara) and Kenneth Jackson.
She was preceded in death by daughter in law, Susan Adams, great great granddaughter, Haylee Nicole Harshman and great great grandson, Jarrin Blaise Eggleston.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday April 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Jim Blacker will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
