Della Irene Schmidt's Obituary
Della Irene Schmidt, age 87, of Columbus Twp., passed away December 18, 2024. She was born July 4, 1937 in Yale to the late Clarence and Irene Bethway.
On August 19, 1957 Della married Gary Schmidt. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage before his passing on April 18, 2021.
Della worked for 20 years at the Diamond Crystal Salt Company. Following retirement she worked an additional 20 years at the Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Della is survived by her daughters, Debra Schmidt and Darla (Brian) Kethe; grandsons, Mark Thomure, Brett Thomure, Kevin Kethe and Kyle Kethe; siblings, Jean (Kenny) Pierucki, Henry Bethway, Clarence Bethway, Irene Butler, Sandy (Chuck) Stadler and Christine Bethway; special friend, Jeanette Holz and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, Memphis. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, December 23rd at Holy Family Parish 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to mass.
