Deborah "Debbie" Walentovic's Obituary
Casco Township
Deborah Ann Walentovic (née Schneider), affectionately known by her loved ones as “Debbie,” passed away comfortably in her Casco home on January 7, 2010, surrounded by family. She was 46.
Mrs. Walentovic was born March 19, 1963 in Jackson to parents Roland and Nancy Schneider. She attended Frankenmuth High School. She married Gerald Joseph Walentovic on July 23, 1983. A seamstress and homemaker, she raised her three daughters—Angie, Amy, and Alina—as carefully and lovingly as she stitched each one of her quilts.
With her zestful and bright attitude, Debbie touched the lives of those who knew her. Her hand-knit wear warmed not only the bodies, but also the hearts of its recipients. Though she fought a difficult illness, her strength inspired those in her many circles of friends.
In addition to her ardent interest in the textile arts, Debbie enjoyed camping, reading, classic rock, and skiing.
Debbie is survived by her devoted husband Gerald “Joe” Walentovic, daughters Angela, Amy, and Alina, parents Roland and Nancy Schneider (née Cook) of Frankenmuth, brothers and sisters-in-law Matthew and Rebecca Schneider of Ann Arbor, Daniel and Jeannette Schneider of Northville, and Todd Schneider of Jacksonville Beach, FL, nieces Ava and Emily, and nephew Brennan. Beloved family also include in-laws Gerald “Jerry” and Edna Walentovic of Birch Run, Mark and Lori Walentovic of Flushing, Laurie and Scott Totten of Casco, and nieces and nephews Ryan, Megan, Tim, Jenny, and Anthony.
