Deborah Jane VanTiem's Obituary
Deborah Jane VanTiem, age 71, of East China Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 19, 2023. She was born March 30, 1952 in St. Clair to Gerald and Marion McKellar. On July 12, 1974 Debbie married Dennis VanTiem in Marine City.
Debbie graduated with honors from Marine City High School, Class of 1970. She was also an honor student graduating from Radiology Technology School. Debbie was employed with River District Hospital, East China Twp. for 35 years, retiring as Supervisor of Mammography.
Debbie enjoyed many different activities, among her favorites were skiing, camping, cruises, boating and family vacations. Making lasting memories by spending time with her family and friends was so important to her.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis VanTiem; sons, Ryan (Kelly) VanTiem, Jordan (Tatiana) VanTiem and Brett (Mandy) VanTiem; mother, Marion McKellar; brother, David (Patricia) McKellar; grandchildren, Claire, Molly, Melinna, Antonia, Lana, Kasey and Grayson; close niece, Beth and many other nieces and nephews.
Debbie was predeceased by her father, Gerald McKellar; sister, Jerri-Lynn McCollister and grandchildren, Landon and the triplets.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
