Deborah Joyce Federspiel's Obituary
Deborah Joyce Federspiel, 72, of St. Clair, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Deby was born in Detroit on October 16, 1950, to Chester and Cora Maslowski. She is a graduate of Osborn High School and married Eugene Federspiel on September 19, 1969. Deby was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandma. She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Gene, and her children, Joe (Valerie) Federspiel, Erin (Patrick) Smith, and Ryan Federspiel (Samantha Hanekow). She was the proud grandma to seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Dominic Lach, E.J. and Olivia Federspiel, Lucas Guzman, Sebastian Smith, Mackenzie and Benjamin Federspiel, and Evan Lach. She was preceded in death by herparents, her brothers Patrick Maslowski and Ronald Giacchina, and her daughter Kelly Gallaher. Deby was employed as a caregiver with the Latchkey program for East China School District for nearly 20 years until she retired. She was kind and caring and was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 8, at Young Funeral Home in China Township, MI. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of the service.
