David Allan Shirey's Obituary
David Allan Shirey, age 80, of China Twp., passed away January 2, 2022. He was born to the late Warren and Henrietta Shirey in McDonald, PA on July 19, 1941. David married Martina Rudick on August 12, 1966 and she preceded him in death on October 18, 2006.
David proudly served with the 82nd Airborne in the U.S. Army. He had a passion about general aviation, getting his pilot’s license in 1968 and had built and flown many planes over the years. David was also a longtime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 13.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Vincent) Delia; daughter in law, Stephanie Shirey and granddaughters, Shelby Shirey and Taylor Shirey.
David is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Shirey.
A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday January 8, 2022 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors being conducted by the St. Clair County Allied Veterans at 1:45 p.m. in lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
