David Duchene's Obituary
David Duchene, age 69, of China Twp., passed away October 28, 2017. He was born January 20, 1948 in St. Clair to the late Leonard and Marie “Peekie” Duchene.
On September 8, 1975 David married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Liz” Duchene. She preceded him in death in 2014.
Following his many years of selling cars, David retired to enjoy life on his farm. He enjoyed working on his farm along with helping his fellow farmers on their farms. He had a great love for his family and was always there for them. David had horses for his granddaughter, Sydney, and would look forward to assisting her at her horse shows. David also loved golf and enjoyed golfing and spending time with some of his closest friends each week.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Ceyzyk and Chris Ceyzyk; granddaughter, Sydney Ceyzyk; sister, Linden (Richard) Poffenbarger and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Leonard Duchene.
A Funeral Mass will be Friday November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp. Visiting hours are Wednesday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A rosary will be said Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation at church Friday 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to mass.
