David Charron's Obituary
David E. Charron, age 93, of Adair, passed away May 23, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 17, 1930 to the late Edward Charron and Florence Williams.
He married Wilma "Chuck" Menke on March 12, 1955 in Indiana. She preceded him in death on December 12, 2021.
Dave proudly served his country with the United State Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Diamond Crystal Salt in St. Clair after many years of service.
He was a huge Detroit Tigers fan and loved fishing on the Big River. He especially enjoyed his time spent with his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons; Dennis (Stella) Charron and Daniel "Crockett" (Celeste) Charron.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Dennis Charron, Kimberly Charron, Daniel Charron, Rachel (Matthew) Simons, Shanna Fisher and Connie Burns and his 12 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by his siblings; Larry Williams, Evon Munro and Jackie Erdman along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons; Timothy Charron and Sam Charron along with many brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Internment at Casco Twp. Cemetery in Adair will follow with military honors by the St. Clair County Allied Veterans. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
