Danielle O'Grady's Obituary
Danielle O’Grady, age 36, of St. Clair, passed away to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021. She was born October 9, 1985 to Thomas and Susan Glaeser. She married Patrick O’ Grady on September 12, 2009.
Danielle committed her entire professional career at TMP Architecture to bringing 21st century learning environments to her clients. Every solution she proposed, or decision she made, was in service of more engaging teaching and learning environments for the learners and teachers of Michigan.
It was in 2011 that Danielle joined the Interiors Department at TMP Architecture, just a few years after graduating from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture. She excelled at helping clients to imagine the possibilities for their space and therefore quickly ascended to the role of Senior Educational Planner in which she established a common language between educators and designers which aided in the shared development of award-winning projects.
When Danielle joined TMP Architecture she joined a work family which she affectionately called her “Wamily.” For Danielle, professional life was no different than personal life in her mission to connect with people and develop solid long-lasting relationships. Her Wamily extended beyond TMP when she took her entire local community under her wing and helped to shepherd East China School District to a successful multi-million-dollar bond program. This work, to bring world class facilities to the East China Community, is happening right now and her impact both locally and state-wide will live on in engaging learning experiences for our kids.
Danielle’s passion, humor, kindness, and determination will be missed in the deepest sense by all who had the honor to call her a professional partner in this industry.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Patrick; beloved sons, James, Quinn, Connor; parents, Thomas and Susan Glaeser; siblings, Nicole (Chris) Austin, Thomas (Kim) Glaeser; in-laws, Pat and Carol O’ Grady, Kelly (Paul) Bennett, Lauren (Derek) Sargent; grandma, Peggy Harris; nieces and nephews, Susie, Nicholas, Piper, Greyson, Gavin, Kate, Devin, Aubrey, Brody, Chloe, as well as several other special family members, friends, and co-workers.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Pauline Allen and grandfather Kenneth Harris.
A funeral mass will be Tuesday, December 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 12th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 13th from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
